Smoky Mountains Part 4 - More People

Now, here are my son and niece! Children give you the most dynamic photographs, without even trying to do so!! That's what is so amazing about getting the opportunity to capture these moments!!

Don't forget to click on the picture to see it larger!!

Thanks for checking out my blog!!

Smoky Mountains Part 3 - More Landscapes

So, I have two posts today. First, I wanted to show more of the landscapes. The first image was a shot that I got on a scenic drive called Roaring Fork, which is above Gatlinburg. The second one is on another scenic drive.

Smoky Mountains, Tennessee

Hi all, Just got back from a week trip to the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The weather was warmer than normal. In addition, the area has been going through a drought, which has altered the "normal" fall colors. Despite all of that, however, the colors were still vivid and the mountain air still fresh!

Of course, I was obsessed with taking pictures, go figure!! I took around 500 pictures!! You can imagine that it will take me awhile to sort through them, however I was just too excited not to get started right away. So, here are a few of the images. Primarily landscape type pictures, I have tons of people so I will be sharing those over the next week too.

Ok, here are the pictures!! Tell me how you like them!!!

Going Back in Time

Ok, so nothing new to share, at least to me. However, I was playing around with two images that I did around the time of my son's 1st birthday in May and fell in love with them all over again.
It is amazing how quickly the little ones change. I look at this picture and although it wasn't that long ago, he has grown so much. Well, I hope you enjoy!

My First Teenager

And what a gracious one he was! Very patient and responsive...I am not so used to that with the young ones I usually photograph! It is amazing how quickly I got good shots, because usually I am following a little one zooming here and there!

So, I have three gems to show off. There are many many more, however I wanted to get a few up to show off!!! Oh, and go Penn State ; )

Ok, what a great session. Two gorgeous kids and got to test some Christmas shots! What a patient model too! I have tons of pictures that are amazing. It will take me awhile to get them all done, however I wanted to add just a few so you can see what I mean!!!

Again, remember to click on the picture for a larger image!

Autumn Festival

What a great festival! Warm cider, bonfire, pumpkins, hay rides, etc. etc. We definitely had a blast. I captured some images but a lot of them were just having fun. I did get a good pumpkin picture I will share.

In addition, I have a shot that I took on Friday that I wanted to add too. Again, you can click on the image to see a larger photo.

The Apple Orchard

Today we went to visit the local Apple Orchard. It is one of our family traditions. We picked our own apples, bought our pumpkins and snacked on Apple Cider donuts! It is one of our favorite fall activities. It wouldn't be me, if I didn't thoroughly document the day, so I have attached three pictures that help tell the story!

Tonight we are headed to an Autumn Festival with a bonfire, so I should have some more pictures to share. In addition, I have two sessions Sunday and Monday, so there will be many new posts to see what I have been up to!

PS...if you click on any of the pictures you see a larger image...it looks a lot better that way!

I told you I would be making more. Did you figure so soon? Probably did ;) Anyway, I did one with my recent Photo Shoot shots. Had to share it, I think it came out well!

Anniversary Gift

Ok, so today is my husband and my 5 Year Anniversary. I am only writing this to show you what I created for his office. This was only the second Storyboard that I have ever created. It is so much fun laying out pictures like this, so I forsee many more in my future. I hope you like it!!

Lil' Miss Independence

Today I had the pleasure to photograph my friend's daughter. I call her Lil' Miss Independence because if we went one way, she had to go the other! She is a ball full of energy, but such a sweet little one!! So, I promised a few shots from today's session up.
Don't let the attire full ya, the temp was near 90 and it was humid. She was a little trooper though! I think my calendar says October, but it sure doesn't feel like it. Like a local newscaster called it....Augtober!

Ok, on to the pics! Gotta love those big brown eyes!

Black & White

I love Black & White photos! They seem to give the photo a different vibe! Anyway, this is going to be a really short post. I just wanted to show you my fave B&W photos, at the moment!

I am taking some pictures for a friend today, so maybe I will get to show off a different little model later today ;)

I Have Arrived

Ok, here I am! My first Photography blog. I thought about waiting a bit longer when I am truly "ready", but when is that really?! Will I ever be truly ready. I mean, in Photography, as in most arts or hobbies, you never feel that you captured perfection....you always want to try something this way or that way. I do love some of the images that I have captured, however I have so much to learn. So, with that said, I love feedback...please feel free to give me feedback on pictures or anything. I want to hear what you like and dislike, what I could do better, whatever. I may or may not agree but getting different views is the best way to learn.

Well, I just want this to be short and sweet! On to my photos. I will try to get out here a lot this month to show my fave pictures or at least the faves right now ;) And these are all of my most gorgeous son, at least I think so!!
